Integrated Coastal Zone Management

Geospatial technology constitutes an excellent instrument for data analysis and integration due to its ability to identify spatial connections between different information layers providing models for geomorphologic evolution and predicting changes in coastal areas. The symposium is an effort to provide a platform for scientists, engineers, managers, and policy-makers, administrators to discuss recent advances and innovative ideas, promote science and integration of knowledge for hazard management resulting in the sustainable management of coastal resources.

The symposium will cover the following:

• Air borne & Terrestrial LIDAR Mapping.
• Stereo Data Acquisition by Digital Aerial Photography including insights into Integrated GPS/GNSS & IMU processing, Direct Sensor Orientation etc.
• Flood/Inundation Modelling.
• High Resolution Stereo Satellite Photogrammetry data processing including automatic feature extraction concepts and methods.
• Enterprise Solutions for 1:10,000 scale Mapping of India. -Workflow/Production Management etc.
• Field Data Collection and Online Updation for 1:10,000 scale Mapping of India by Mobile Mapping using a network of GPS Reference Stations.
